Hi,
i'm barbara, i just signed in -
i've got a lot of questions as i'm rather new to this process. Do you forgive every single thought you entertain, or only those that you connect to some kind of emotion or self-definition? Like when i think about things to determine whether there is still a point of dishonesty, that's the kind of thinking that doesn't have to be forgiven, because i think (!) i wouldn't be getting anywhere if i stopped that. How do you handle this?
I came across this video by winged: "How to be a Portal 23 - How the Mind Support Self Honesty" shortly after I posted my question above. So, this really clarified a lot. So the mind is actually the mirror of what I have created and allowed and it helps me to see where self-deception has occurred, so I can correct it with self-forgiveness and directing myself accordingly. But doesn't that also give those "minor" thoughts that always pop up free reign? What about those "ineffective" thoughts that don't lead to the revelation of self-deception? I guess it is not reasonable to discriminate according to effectivity, but say stop as soon as something pops up and when a pattern becomes apparent you look into it and forgive the "mind stuff" (hierarchy, judgment...) pertaining to it? What do you think?
